MOMO Rules Retro Round Again

MOMO has ensured Erebus Motorsport will be the best dressed at this weekend’s Sandown 500, with the addition of egret white race suits.

The team unveiled their retro liveries on Sunday with a throwback to iconic privateer Graeme Bailey, but the look isn’t complete without the whole kit and caboodle.

Already their official race-wear supplier, FUEL AUTOTEK, MOMO’s exclusive Australian importer partnered with Erebus to develop retro-styled suits.

“2018 marks the second year that we have collaborated with Erebus Motorsport to produce bespoke retro-inspired MOMO suits for the Sandown 500,” FUEL AUTOTEK’s Marketing Manager, Scott Crosher said.

“Whilst we were ecstatic with what we achieved in 2017, we feel that we have raised the bar this year.”

Colourful bands have been layered upon David Reynolds and Luke Youlden’s suits, tying in perfectly with the bright Chickadee stripes seen on the ’86 Bathurst winning replica.

Anton De Pasquale and Will Brown will also sport egret white, with simple red trim added to help commemorate the ’82 Toyota Celica livery.

“We pride ourselves on supplying the team with MOMO race suits, boots and gloves that meet the highest standards in comfort, performance and safety, so why not ensure they are the best dressed team in pit lane as well,” Crosher said.

Designed for drivers at the highest tier of racing, the MOMO Corsa Evo suit features the latest motorsport safety and performance technology.

Their Nomex material delivers minimum weight and maximum breathability, while floating arm gussets allow for a full range of motion and anatomical sleeve patterning avoids any material bunching.

MOMO GT Pro boots and MOMO Top Light gloves for both driver pairings have completed the retro look.
