Singer-williams’ DLS Unveiled – Features Carbon Fiber MOMO Steering Wheel

MOMO is honoured to have been chosen to participate in Singer Vehicle Design’s Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS) through the development of an advanced carbon fibre steering wheel. Unveiled on July 12 at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the results of Singer’s DLS program will develop the most advanced air-cooled Porsche 911s in the world through restoration services and modifications focused on lightweight and dynamic improvements. In addition to MOMO, Singer has collaborated with a number of other prestigious, globally renowned technical partners including Williams Advanced Engineering in pursuit of this study.

A result of the combined vision between MOMO and Singer Vehicle Design; this custom MOMO carbon fibre steering wheel was designed to meet the ambitious lightweight and ergonomic requirements of the DLS program and its mission to create the most exclusive and engaging performance driving experience. The collaborative project takes design queues from MOMO’s timeless Prototipo design, creating a unique carbon fibre and leather steering wheel that brings together the best of traditional craftsmanship and cutting edge materials.

The Singer-restored 1990 Porsche 911 unveiled at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed features a prototype of the unique MOMO carbon fibre steering wheel, which will be available exclusively through Singer after its finalization and announcement later in the year.
