Vossen Wheels at Soga 2018: Southern Gardasee in Peschiera Del Garda, Italy

Across the Atlantic Ocean, on Lake Garda in northern Italy, lies a small town called Peschiera del Garda. For several years now, Claudio Cunial and Elios Ascoli have been asking Vossen to make the transatlantic trek to this small town to experience their event and this year Vossen finally accepted; this is SOGA 2018; Southern Gardasee in Peschiera del Garda, Italy.

Villa la Tassinara, SOGA’s new home for 2018, is an enormous estate that faces Lake Garda, or Gardasee, with endless grass fields bridging the gap between the shoreline road and the front doors to the villa. Built in the late 1600s by Tuscan nobleman Giovanni Pietro Arrighi of Florence, it’s incredible and seemingly impossible to imagine that Giovanni’s vision for his Venetian manor would eventually be home to one of Europe’s most beautiful and enjoyable car events, Southern Gardasee, over 300 years later.

Jan David Baier, coordinator, salesman, and all-around badass of our European distributor, Vossen Europe, led the way to Southern Gardasee, organizing our involvement in the official SOGA 2018 event as well as Vossen con Vista, an Italian installment of our usual Vossen Owners Meet. Taking place at Villa la Tassinara, Vossen con Vista brought some of our favourite cars and faces from throughout Europe together the night before the show, celebrating our love for autos, wheels and most importantly the camaraderie that we all share for the brand and where it’s going.

The following morning came quick, after a day of shooting throughout Peschiera del Garda with various Vossen owners and enthusiasts and the Vossen con Vista event the night prior, but the mass of cars that quickly filled the estate’s lawn was quick to excite everyone. Limited to 400 cars and hand-selected and invited throughout the other events of the year, the field of cars was of only the top quality and styling, providing a great arrangement to walk throughout and capture on film.
